The FTX crypto company and Mercedes F1 recently collaborated to host a beach festival in Miami Beach, Florida, during the Formula 1 week in Miami.
The event, called "Off The Grid," was a two-day extravaganza that featured live music, food and beverage vendors, and a variety of interactive experiences. In this blog post, we will take a closer look at the event production and broadcast of "Off The Grid."
The FTX and Mercedes F1 teams worked closely MetaT3ch to create a unique experience for attendees creating a custom curved LED wall and scenic build. The festival was held on a private beach in Miami Beach, which was transformed into a tropical paradise with VIP cabanas, VIP restaurant and bar and shops for local vendors. The stage was set up in the center of the beach, with a stunning views of the ocean like no other event. The sound system, lighting and LED video wall were state-of-the-art, ensuring that every performance was heard and crystal clear.
In addition to the musical performances, attendees were also able to participate in a variety of interactive experiences. These included virtual reality experiences, local graffiti artist creating live artwork, and a Mercedes F1 race car and simulator. Attendees were also able to take part in a beach volleyball tournament, with the winners receiving tickets to the 1st Miami Formula 1 race being held nearby in Seminole Florida at the Hard Rock Stadium.
Broadcasting the Event To ensure that the event was accessible to a wider audience, the FTX and Mercedes F1 teams worked with a MetaT3ch to broadcast "Off The Grid" live on various platforms. The event was streamed on the FTX and Mercedes F1 websites and social media channels, allowing people from all over the world to tune in and experience the festival.
The production team used multiple cameras to capture different angles of the performances and experiences throughout the event. The footage was then edited and broadcasted live, with hosts providing commentary and interviews with performers, Mercedes F1 Drivers and attendees.
